Thank you for using the services of the Pickleball Japan Federation. This privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as "this policy") is our association's policy for handling privacy information. When users use our federation's services, they are deemed to have agreed to this policy.

What is privacy information? Privacy information includes both "personal information" and "historical and characteristic information." "Personal information" is information about individuals who pass through "personal information" as defined in the Personal Information Protection Act, and includes information that can identify a specific individual by name, address, address, telephone number, contact information, and other descriptions contained in the information.

"History information and characteristic information" is other than "personal information" and refers to services used, products purchased, pages and advertisements viewed, search keywords searched by the user, date and time of use, method of use, environment of use, postal code, gender, occupation, age, user's IP address, cookie information, location information, individual identification information of the device, etc.

How do we collect privacy information? The Federation may collect personal information when a user registers for or uses the Federation's services, and the user's history information and characteristic information when the user uses the Federation's services or views pages. In addition, if a user sets up cooperation with an external service when using this service, the ID used by the user in that external service and other information that the user has authorized to be disclosed to the partner through the privacy settings of that external service will be collected from that external service.

For what purpose will the privacy information be used? The purposes for which the Federation collects and uses privacy information are as follows.

 

A) The purpose of displaying information about registered information such as name, address, contact information, payment method, services used, products purchased, and their prices, etc., so that users can view and modify their registered information, and view usage status.

B) Purpose of using contact information such as names and addresses when using email addresses to notify or contact users, to send products to users, or to contact users as necessary.

C) Purpose of using information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, bank account number, credit card number, driver's license number, and certified mail delivery results to confirm the user's identity.

D) Purpose of using payment-related information such as product name and quantity purchased, type and period of service used, number of times, billed amount, name, address, bank account number, credit card number, etc. in order to bill users for payment.

E) For the purpose of displaying information registered with our company on the input screen or forwarding it to external services based on the user's instructions so that the user can input data easily.

F) Purpose of using information to identify individuals, such as usage patterns, names and addresses, in order to refuse the use of users who violate the terms of use of this service, such as by delaying payment or causing damage to third parties, or users who attempt to use the service for fraudulent or improper purposes.

G) In order to respond to inquiries from users, the purpose of using information necessary for the Company to provide services to users, such as information regarding inquiry content and billing, user's service usage status, contact information, etc.

H) Purpose of creating statistical data processed into a format that does not identify individuals in connection with our services.

I) Purpose of distributing or displaying advertisements of our company or third parties

J) Purpose of use for marketing

K) Purposes incidental to each of the above purposes of use

Will my privacy information be provided to third parties?

Our company will not provide privacy information to third parties without obtaining the user's prior consent, except in the following cases. However, this excludes cases permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act and other laws and regulations.

a) Cases based on laws and regulations

b) When it is necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person.

c) When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the healthy upbringing of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual.

d) When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, local government, or a person entrusted by them in carrying out the affairs stipulated by law, and obtaining the consent of the person concerned is likely to impede the execution of the affairs.

However, if we outsource all or part of the handling of privacy information to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use, or if privacy information is provided in conjunction with business succession due to merger or other reasons, this does not fall under the provision of privacy information to a third party. Please note that the Federation may share or disclose private information in accordance with the user's request if the user uses the Federation's services in conjunction with an external service.

Can I review or request corrections to my private information?

When the Federation is requested by a person to disclose "personal information" (not including "historical information and characteristic information"), the Federation will disclose this to the person without delay.

However, if disclosing the information may harm the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the person or a third party, if there is a risk of significantly hindering the proper implementation of our business, or if it would violate laws and regulations, we may not disclose all or part of the information, and if we decide not to disclose it, we will notify you to that effect without delay.
Please note that a fee of 1,000 yen will be charged for each disclosure of personal information.

In addition, if the user's personal information held by the Company is incorrect, the user can request the Company to correct or delete the personal information by following the procedures established by the Company. If we receive these requests from users and determine that it is necessary to respond to the requests, we will correct or delete the personal information without delay and notify the users of this.

Can I request that the use of my private information be stopped?

If a person requests us to suspend or erase the use of their privacy information (hereinafter referred to as ``suspension of use, etc.'') because the information is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or because it was obtained by illegal means, we will conduct the necessary investigation without delay, and based on the results, we will suspend the use of the privacy information and notify the person accordingly.

However, in cases where it would require a large amount of money to suspend the use of private information, or where it is otherwise difficult to do so, and if we can take alternative measures that are necessary to protect the rights and interests of the individual, we will take this alternative measure.

Changes to privacy policy

The contents of this policy may be changed without notifying users. Unless otherwise specified by our company, the revised privacy policy will become effective from the time it is posted on this website.
